I've been thinking about an apartment I used to live in, in Chicago. It was the top floor of a two-flat greystone and had never been updated. We worked out a deal with our landlords that if we scraped wallpaper and painted, we'd get money off the rent.
Our first project was to scrape layers and layers of wallpaper off the walls in the tiny bathroom. As we worked, we uncovered patterns that looked very much of the era when they were pasted up: the 70s, the 50s, the 30s. It was a lot like an anthropological dig!
Inspired by that experience, I designed this mini kit: 10 patterned papers and 21 elements. Check it out at Scraphead!
Why don't I draw more?
